Abstract: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) frequently correlates with cardiovascular complications. Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) and Galectin-3 (Gal-3) are emerging as cardiac markers with potential relevance in cardiovascular risk prediction.
