“…[9] They range in potency from very weak class VII agents to super potent class I agents as ranked by the Stoughton-Cornell vasoconstriction classification. [10] A double blind, parallel group, multicenter trial revealed that 0.05% halobetasol propionate ointment is more effective in the treatment of patients with chronic localized psoriasis compared to 0.05% clobetasole propionate ointment (86% versus 70%). [11]…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…[36] However, in our study, we have used histamine-induced wheal suppression test for determining the reservoir effect of a topical steroid. This histamine bioassay of topical steroids has many advantages over other known assay techniques.…”

“…Psoriasis skin shows both increased metabolic activity [1] and structural abnor malities in the capillary microcirculation [2]. The importance of these microcirculatory changes is suggested by the observation that when chronic psoriatic plaques are treated, the capillary structures return to normal before the labelling index of the basal cells [2], Furthermore the therapeutic efficacy of topical glucocorticoids in psoria sis correlates well with their vasoconstrictor activity [3].…”
