Abstract:Introduction: Hypothyroidism is a common endocrinal disorder in which thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. The disease mainly occurs in female and its prevalence rises with age. Hypothyroidism may be the underlying cause of dyslipidemia and alteration of plasma glucose levels as thyroid hormones plays a key role in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism.
