Like in humans, CIEC could be congenital (Bedford et al, 1990), however traumatic origin could be also conferred, due to the most dog present a history of previous corneal ulceration or lesion (Bedford et al, 1990;Whitley and Gilger, 1999;Campos et al, 2002). Corneal indolent ulcer and keratectomies have been also hypothesized as possible origins in dog (Campos et al, 2002).…”
