Consumer Flexibility Aggregation Using Partition Function Games With Non-Transferable Utility

Abstract: This paper explores the aggregation of electricity consumers flexibility. A novel coalitional game theory model for partition function games with non-transferable utility is proposed. This model is used to formalize a game in which electricity consumers find coalitions among themselves in order to trade their consumption flexibility in the electricity market. Utility functions are defined to enable measuring the players preferences. Two case studies are presented, including a simple illustrative case, which as… Show more

“…This is increasingly important when the P2P energy trading scheme involves a payoff allocation process or mechanism [107]. The central entity, as a rational agent, should be able to anticipate potential player decisions and coordinate each energy transaction by performing the management of players with similar preferences, dictating the formation of like-minded coalitions, and evaluating the coalitional values for the grand coalition [107,108].…”
