Congenital Anal Atresia and Rectovaginal Fistula in a 43-Year-Old Woman

Abstract: The reported incidence of anorectal anomalies ranges from 1 in 3,500 to 1 in 5,000 live births. Malformations occur more commonly in boys and may be associated with other congenital anomalies. Although they are usually diagnosed and treated during infancy, some sporadic cases are reported in adults.
