Abstract: This randomized, double-blind, parallel, multi-center study was designed to determine whether the addition of salmeterol to existing inhaled corticosteroid therapy provides greater therapeutic benefit than doubling the dose of inhaled corticosteroids in symptomatic patients with asthma.
