Computational Intelligence Optimization Method for AlGaAs/GaAs Quantum Well Solar Cells

Abstract: The benefits of using quantum wells as the active region of solar cells have already been proposed. Different models have been reported which quite accurately explain the behavior of this new device. In this work we propose minor modifications in the Lande model for solar cells containing quantum wells and we use a methodology based on genetic algorithms for designing optimized quantum well solar cells.
