Complications of retroperitoneal lymph node dissection in testicular cancer: Primary and post-chemotherapy

Abstract: Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) is utilized in low‐stage testis cancer as a primary diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. In the post‐chemotherapy setting, it serves as an adjuvant procedure to resect residual tumor. Primary RPLND entails minimal resection of lymphatic tissue in the retroperitoneum; the complications are minor and insignificant. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
