“…Lots of papers are published regarding the reservoir sedimentation, monitoring, and balancing (Amitrano et al, 2013;Ali et al, 2014), ecology and sustainability (Detering and Schuettrumpf, 2014) comparative analysis and assessment (Hajji et al, 2014;Bennett et al, 2013;Garg & Jothiprakash, 2013;Wisser et al, 2013;Andredaki, et al, 2014;Gopinath et al, 2014), methodology and management (Hosseinjanzadeh et al, 2015;Dewals et al, 2012), reservoirs modeling and silting prism dynamic (Caputo and Carcione, 2013;Mattheus, 2013;Mansikkamäki, 2013), avoiding the effect on the environment and the catastrophic water floods (Ran et al, 2013;Matchavariani et al, 2016), research on the experiment of reservoir water treatment (Zhang et al, 2016), etc.…”

“…Developed by the USDA, the USLE predicts long-term annual soil loss by combined rill and interrill erosion on agricultural hillslopes (Haan et al, 1994;Merritt et al, 2003;Wischmeier & Smith, 1978). The USLE was intended for agricultural watersheds, but applications have been extended to forests, construction sites and mixed watersheds (Fraser et al, 1995;Mattheus & Norton, 2013;Renard & Foster, 1991). Refinements of the equation due to improving research over the years has resulted in the Modified USLE, MUSLE (Williams, 1982), and the Revised USLE, RUSLE (Renard & Foster, 1991), which make adjustments to the determination of the USLE parameters.…”

“…Substantial efforts have been made to develop quantitative assessment models of soil erosion, and those developed mainly belong to two categories, either on-site measurements that are often applied in small-scale regional or point experiments or off-site quantification models, which can be used to evaluate the erosion intensity of zones on a large scale (Ganasri & Ramesh, 2016;Tamene, Park, Dikau, & Vlek, 2006; L. F. Xu, Xu, & Meng, 2013). Models developed to date to quantify soil erosion such as the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE; Mattheus & Norton, 2015), the Water Erosion Prediction Project (Baigorria & Romero, 2007), the European Soil Erosion Model (Khaleghpanah, Shorafa, Asadi, Gorji, & Davari, 2016), and the Erosion for Agricultural Management System (Vanwalleghem et al, 2017) are considered to be the most scientific approaches for use in studies, although experimental measurements are still considered indispensable and fundamental (Brooks, Dobre, Elliot, Wu, & Boll, 2016;Kinnell, 2017).…”
