Comparison of international transport corridors in the Arctic based on the autoregressive distributed lag model

Abstract: This article examines the modeling of international transport corridors using the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model. The modeling of international transport corridors makes allowance for the potential capacity to develop the Arctic transport environment in the context of polar ice melting and increasing time of navigation on the seas of the Arctic Ocean. The authors build models for the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Siberian Railway (TSR), the Southern Sea Route (transport corridor of the Suez Canal)… Show more

“…Article [18] explores the use of the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model to analyze international transport corridors, with a particular focus on adapting to changes in the Arctic transport environment due to polar ice melting. The study constructs models for the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Southern Sea Route (Suez Canal corridor), and the Northwest Passage, examining various natural, organizational, technological, and economic factors influencing these corridors.…”

“…This is important because when solving professional tasks in Northern latitudes, it is necessary to understand the nature of natural and climatic factors and the associated risks and dangers to human life and the security of industrial facilities [20]. Environmental and socio-economic spheres of life are the most important areas of human activity in the Arctic [21], so it is no accident that the method of modeling environmental and economic risks in the region is increasingly used in the implementation of Arctic projects [22], in particular in the oil and gas industry [23,24].…”
