“…showed no significant MW‐induced, non‐thermal effects of increasing migration of additives into different FSL. However, a third study showed significantly higher overall migration from poly(vinyl chloride) during domestic MW heating compared with conventional heating . Much of the migration research related to MW heating has concentrated on domestic MW heating as compared with industrial MW heating.…”

“…However, a third study showed significantly higher overall migration from poly(vinyl chloride) during domestic MW heating compared with conventional heating. 17 Much of the migration research related to MW heating has concentrated on domestic MW heating as compared with industrial MW heating. Little research has been conducted to develop a methodology for studying the migration of additives from packaging material into food during industrial MW pasteurization and sterilization.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Furthermore, a product's higher affinity to the wrapping material could result in an increased risk of migration of some of the package compounds, or in enhanced adsorption of off flavors. In addition, the package's barrier characteristics might be affected (Ayhan, Yeom, Zang, & Min, 2001;Bruck, Bieber, & Figge, 1973;Galotto & Guarda, 1999;Hwang et al, 2000).…”
