Comparative study on the essential oils of Myosotis arvensis and Myosotis palustris herbs (Boraginaceae)

Abstract: The essential oils were obtained from Myosotis arvensis L. and M. palustris L. by hydrodistillation and subsequently analyzed by GC-MS. Fifteen components in M. arvensis and twenty-one in M. palustris representing, respectively, 89.63 and 93.19 % of the total oils were identified on the basis of their retention time, mass spectra characteristics and semi-quantitative data were obtained from relative peak area percentages. The 3-methyl-benzaldehyde was found to be the major constituent of both tested oils (42.7… Show more

“…Previous investigations into the essential oils of M . arvensis collected in different regions of the world have found the major components to be 3-methylbenzaldehyde (42.76%), hexadecanoic acid (15.18%), 2-hexyl-1-octanol (11.89%), and 4-nitrophenyl ester o -toluic acid (7.47%) 19 . In this regard, some constituents of the essential oils derived from herb plants are influenced by various internal or external factors such as the geographical location, extraction method, plant species, plant parts, and harvest time as well as storage time of plants 26, 27 .…”

“…Изучаемый вид относится к семейству Boraginaceae, среди представителей которого довольно много эндемичных и реликтовых видов [3]. Изучение его представителей отличается многоплановостью [4][5][6][7][8][9][10], однако сведения о виде Nonea decurrens ограничиваются лишь нашими исследованиями [11,12].…”
