Combining Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory with Analytic Network Process to Perform an Investigation of Information Technology Auditing and Risk Control in an Enterprise Resource Planning Environment

Abstract: The research examined different types of risk through interviews with experts. The risks studied include business interruption risk, process interdependency risk and system security risk. The decision making trial and evaluation laboratory is used to find the relationship among risks and combined with the analytic network process to select the optimal measures for reducing risks. The results indicate that information technology (IT) consultants prefer the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP). They usually use the remo… Show more

“…Between 1972 and 1976, Fontela and Gabus have developed the DEMATEL approach for structuring and solving multi-criteria problems in a multi-personal context [48,49]. DEMATEL can represent an algebraic method of analysis, which aggregates the collected individual implicit knowledge to identify and quantify the causal interdependencies between the detected SFs [50].…”

“…Moreover the Importance-Performance & Gap Analysis (IPGA) can narrow down the service quality gaps. In addition to this study, to evaluate and resolve the complicated and intertwined problem group Decisionmaking trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is been used (Wu et al, 2010;Shieh et al, 2010), this approach is widely been used to find the key success factors in the industries like airline industry, emergency management, web-advertising, auditing and risk control , enterprise resource planning environment, , hospital service quality management (Liou et al, 2007;Tzeng et al, 2007;Shieh et al, 2010;Wu et al, 2010;Tsai and Hsu, 2010;Wei et al, 2010;Chang and Cheng, 2011;Wu and Tsai, 2011;Zhou et al, 2011;Lin et al, 2012; ISSN 2414-8393 Tsai et al, 2013), this also caters to the performance evaluation of employees, and gauges the risks of failures.…”

“…The integration of more than one technique to solve a problem is a recent trend, because it may not always be possible to address all of the problems by using a single technology (Zahedi, 1993;Goonatilake and Khebbal, 1995;Tan et al, 1996;Banville et al, 1998;Xu et al, 1998;Čančer and Mulej, 2010;Tsai et al, 2013). Furthermore, the selection of CSFs is an MCDM issue.…”
