“…RSM has been used to optimize degradation of various contaminants in ultrasonic treatment processes . Terechova et al applied RSM for optimization of coagulant dosage in a combined chemical coagulation‐flocculation/ultraviolet photolysis treatment for linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) degradation. But this manuscript investigates to optimize LABSA degradation with sonication process using RSM for the first time.…”

“…Dehghani et al obtained the maximum degradation of LAS as 83.3% using sonochemical reactor for initial LAS concentration of 0.2 mg L −1 and reaction time of 120 min. Terechova et al reported the maximum LAS degradation efficiencies were 71.26 and 74.58% for the synthetic LAS wastewater and the actual laundry wastewater, respectively. In this study 75% of LABSA degradation has been achieved by sonication process.…”

“…Proses koagulasi-flokulasi merupakan metode yang terbukti efektif dalam menghilangkan material organik dengan biaya operasional yang relatif rendah. Proses koagulasi tersebut dapat menggunakan koagulan alami maupun anorganik yang tersedia dipasaran (Terechova et al, 2014). Penggunaan koagulan anorganik berbasis aluminium dan besi seringkali digunakan menurunkan kadar COD dan padatan tersuspensi yang terkandung di dalam air limbah laundry.…”

“…Bautista-Toleda et al [11] analyzed the bioadsorption/biodegradation kinetics of the sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate surfactant on commercial activated carbons and on activated carbons prepared in the laboratory by activation of almond shells. Terechov's team removed anionic surface-active agent in combined chemical coagulation-flocculation/UV photolysis [12], while Mohan proposed a treatment system that consisted of coagulation-flocculation, sand filtration (SF), and granular activated carbon adsorption [13].…”
