Combination of bio-organo-mineral fertilizers on optimizing the growth and production of tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.) in dryland environment

Alfassabiq Khairi,
Jayaputra,
Padusung
et al.

Abstract: Mineral or inorganic fertilizers are increasingly being used to increase tomato productivity. However, excessive use of inorganic fertilizers may negatively impact soil fertility and microbial activity. To maintain food safety and agricultural sustainability, the use of inorganic fertilizers must be balanced with organic fertilizers. Additionally, sub-optimal land, such as dryland, can be used to optimize tomato productivity, particularly in the North Lombok Regency, Indonesia. This study aimed to investigate … Show more

“…Tomato cultivation in the country is considered profitable thus productivity has been increased from 15.31 in 2016 to 18.93 ton/ha in 2020 (FAO, 2024). Combination of bio-fertilizer was suggested for further improvement (Khairi et al, 2023) but it is actually very challenging due to other limitations. One of major constraints in the cultivation of chili pepper, tomato, and squash in the country is yellowing disease caused by begomoviruses (Santosa & Somowiyarjo, 2023;Wahyono et al, 2023).…”

“…Використання композицій рідких органічних добрив, регуляторів росту рослин і основних макроелементів (N, P, K) на ґрунтах Iндонезії в умовах посухи поліпшувало ростові процеси і сприяло формуванню врожаю томатів [60].…”
