“…S2 †) of Ni SA/CeO 2 showed only the fingerprint diffraction peaks of cubic CeO 2 (JCPDS 34-0394). [22][23][24] The Raman spectroscopy data (Fig. S3 †) of Ni SA/CeO 2 only showed the characteristic vibration peak of the fluorite structure appeared at 462 cm −1 in CeO 2 .…”

“…It is well known that NiO strongly interacting with a cerium support will be reduced at a higher temperature range [58]. Greluk et al [59] reported that the reduction effects recorded for the Ni/CeO 2 catalyst in the temperature range 220 • C-450 • C are related to the reduction of NiO weakly and strongly interacting with the cerium oxide carrier. They also attributed these peaks to the surface reduction of nonstoichiometric CeO x forms.…”

“…CeO 2 is a metal oxide with Lewis acid and base sites, which is a typical acid–base catalyst. 13 In the past two decades, many nanocomposites containing CeO 2 have been prepared, it can be divided into the following categories, metal/CeO 2 , metal oxide/CeO 2 , CeO 2 /support, such as Co/CeO 2 , 14 Ni/CeO 2 , 15 AuCu/CeO 2 , 16 MnO 2 /CeO 2 , 17 CuO/CeO 2 , 18 CeO 2 /SiO 2 , 19 CeO 2 /g-C 3 N 4 , 20 CeO 2 /Al 2 O 3 , 21 Ni–La 2 O 3 –CeO 2 /SBA-15, 22 Ni–CeO 2 /graphene, 23 and so on. Metal or metal oxide supported on CeO 2 carrier by impregnation method, or doped in the lattice of CeO 2 in the form of metal cation to form metal–Ce solid solution, which can improve the catalytic performance of the catalyst.…”
