Clinical Efficacy of Tonic Traditional Chinese Medicine Injection on Acute Cerebral Infarction: A Bayesian Network Meta‐Analysis

Abstract: Western medicine (WM) has certain limitations in terms of treating acute cerebral infarction (ACI), while tonic traditional Chinese medicine injections (TCMIs) have been shown to have obvious clinical effects as an adjunct to WM for ACI. However, most randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to date have not performed direct comparisons of efficacy among tonic TCMIs. This study designed a Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) to explore the therapeutic effect of tonic TCMIs on ACI. A comprehensive search of RCTs of … Show more

“…In Meng et al's study, a meta-analysis was conducted on clinical diagnosis and treatment factors and cerebral microbleeds of ACI intravenous thrombolysis, and the related factors were obtained [ 9 ]. Zhou et al could reduce the factors of cerebral microbleeds after ACI intravenous thrombolysis through Bayesian meta-analysis [ 10 ]. Meta-analysis based on intelligent medical can well study the relationship between ACI intravenous thrombolysis and cerebral microbleeds, but the intelligent medical technology used is not optimal.…”

“…The active ingredients of sweet medicinal materials are carbohydrate, amino acids, and vitamins ( Zhang and Liu, 2015 ), possessing tonifying and replenishing effects ( Zhang J. Y. et al, 2016 ). Tonifying and replenishing properties of medicinal materials can decrease blood viscosity and help in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction ( Zhou D. et al, 2020 ). In addition, these can regulate neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and norepinephrine, to treat central nervous system diseases ( Zhang X. et al, 2018 ).…”
