“…As second‐generation macrolides, clarithromycin and azithromycin take effect faster and are better tolerated with regard to gastrointestinal side effects than orally administered tetracyclines, metronidazole and ketoconazole 52 . In several smaller studies, both have been found to be effective and tolerable drugs in the short‐term therapy of rosacea 52–54 .
