Circularly Polarized Waves in Magnetoplasmas Containing Negative Ions

Abstract: We present a systematic investigation of the right-hand waves propagating along a uniform magnetic field in a homogeneous, unbounded plasma made up of electrons, positive ions, and negative ions. It is shown first that negative ions give rise to a new resonance, a new stop-band, a new ion whistler, and an ion cyclotron wave in the right-hand mode of propagation.
