Abstract: The objectives of this study were to characterize, retrospectively, the temporal distribution of onset of symptoms of AMI in a sample of inpatients admitted to Hospital of Clinics, State University of Campinas (Brazil), with confirmed diagnosis of AMI, and to investigate possible relationships between temporal distribution of the onset of the symptoms and: 1) related risk factors; 2) involved myocardial walls; 3) response to thrombolytic therapy.
