Abstract: Farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FPPS), an essential enzyme in the mevalonate pathway, was reported to be upregulated in young spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) when compared with Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats, and this was accompanied by development of left ventricular hypertrophy.
