Tracheal paraganglioma: a diagnostic dilemma culminating in a complex airway management problem

“…1 0 -1 2 Brisk bleeding was the most commonly reported complication of diagnosis and treatment 9 , 1 0 ,1 2 -in fact, severe bleeding during an attempted bronchoscopy and tracheostomy resulted in the peri-operative death of one patient. 9 Disease-free follow-up, ranging from six weeks to three years, was reported for four out of ve patients. 8 ,1 0 - 1 2 Our reason for presenting this case is to highlight the initial diagnostic dilemma and subsequent management problems that this uncommon tumour may present.…”
