Abstract: Abstract 077ChemInform Abstract A mechanism for the reduction of O2 to H2O in a four-electron process catalyzed by (I), as demonstrated by cyclic voltammetry, is suggested. The active catalyst on the surface is the dimeric complex (II), formed from the precatalyst (I) by electrochemical oxidation at the beginning of the cathodic scan.
