Abstract: Abstract 207 ChemInform Abstract Reaction of the aroyl pyrazoles (I) with the benzonitrile oxides generated in situ from the benzohydroxamoyl chlorides (II) yields the hydroxyiminobenzyl pyrazoles (III). No cycloaddition products are observed. The unsymmetric pyrazole (IV) reacts with benzonitrile oxide (V) to give a product whose structure cannot be concluded unequivocally to be (VI) or (VII).
