Characterization of Salmonella spp. isolated from chickens in Central China

Abstract: Background: Salmonella is an important zoonotic pathogen, and chickens are one of its main hosts. Every year, Salmonella infections pose a serious threat to the poultry industry in developing countries, especially China.
