“…Aiming to validate parameters of functional evaluation on pre-clinical trials for DMD, Gaiad et al (2011) investigated the use of PT assessment tools to evaluate disease progression and phenotype variability in GRMD dogs. In this study the outcome measurements were passive joint range of motion, limb and thorax circumferences, weight, CK analysis, and physical features of each of the dogs using a physical exam score previously described by Thibaud et al (2007). The author have described the physical and behavioral features of 11 dystrophic dogs during 9 months and these PT measurements tools were considered reliable and useful to evaluate disease progression in GRMD dogs.…”
