“…The weight average molecular weight of PBI prepared by melt condensation ($\overline M _{\rm w}$ = 27.200 g · mol −1 ) was found to be higher than that of PBI prepared by solution polycondensation ($\overline M _{\rm w}$ = 7.100 g · mol −1 ). This is in accordance with reports on higher end group reactivity in the melt 14…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…The T g of PBI polymers are generally very high and varies from 350 to 450 °C depending on the backbone structure. 2,3,42 The T g obtained in this study for all Py-PBI polymers also fall in this range (Table 3 and Figure 4) attributing that these are high T g polymers. Generally the para connected PBI displays lower T g than the meta PBI.…”

Generally the para connected PBI displays lower T g than the meta PBI. , The T g values differ from polymer to polymer depending on the DCA structure used for making the Py-PBI. The T g of the TPA polymer (397 °C, obtained from tan δ) is lowest among all the polymers.…”

“…The E′ values of all the Py-PBI polymers are comparable with the literature value of PBI. 2,3,40,42 The E′ decreases with increasing temperature in all cases indicates that mechanical property becomes poorer at higher temperature. However, the change is not very significant proves the fact that these Py-PBIs have good mechanical strength even at very high temperature.…”

“…A higher value of IV indicates a higher molecular weight of the polymer 39. The quantification of the PBI molecular weight by the measurement of IV in H 2 SO 4 has been demonstrated in the literature extensively 16, 38. Figure 1 shows that IV increased with the initial monomer concentration increasing up to 4%, and then IV saturated and finally dropped at a very high initial monomer concentration (5.5%).…”
