Abstract: Smoothing active power of wind power by electric vehicle(EV) battery charging/discharging can diminish the fluctuation quantity of the grid-connected wind power. In this paper, an model for sizing optimal EV charging stations capacity for wind power smoothing is established, in which both the wind power ramp rate constraint and the state of charge constraint are considered.
