Cálculo de Esforço nos Semicondutores do Inversor Fonte Z

Abstract

This paper presents the current stress on semiconductors of three phase Z-Source Inverter applying Simple Boost Modulation. The Z-Source Inverter employs a unique impedance network that applies step-up DC-DC and DC-AC functions at single stage. For this reason, this inverter is an interesting option on photovoltaic system. It will be presented the operation stages of the inverter with Simple Boost Modulation to understand the development of the average and rms current equations of the semiconductors. The boost stage is defined by a new stage known as shoot-through, in which, both semiconductor of the same leg is commanded to conduct at the same time. This behavior changes a lot the current waveforms, demanding a complex effort calculation. To validate the calculations, theoretical results were compared with results from simulation.
