Abstract: The paper presents the dependence between mass content of water vapour and combustion products that are formed in result of combustion of 1 kg of hydrocarbon and air excess coefficient at different negative ambient temperatures during 60 minutes of car engine operation. As a result, the authors have determined conditions of formation of the greatest amount of water vapour in engine exhaust gas.
