Abstract: Introduction: Anatomic resection with lymph node sampling or systematic lymph node dissection is currently the standard of care for good performance patients with stage I NSCLC. Some patients with stage I NSCLC are unable to tolerate lobectomy because of limited lung function or prohibitive co-morbidities. Comparison of radiation therapy and limited surgical resection, the most commonly employed treatment modalities for these patients, is confounded by differences in co-morbidities in both patient populations.…
