“…3 Burnout has recently been documented in radiation oncology residents. 4 Regarding our recommendation that the ABR develop a more comprehensive blueprint with higher weightings for clinical radiation oncology, we recommend that medical physics and radiation cancer biology be taught and tested as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements dictate. Competence in radiation oncology depends on understanding the fundamentals of medical physics and radiation cancer biology, but the proportion of questions on these topics in the current examination is excessive.…”
