“…In our study, the main factors found to be associated with insomnia were depression and low CD4 count. Depression as a factor in insomnia has also been reported by other authors [2,4,15,17]. This relationship between insomnia and depression may not be unconnected to the fact that sleep disturbances are a major symptom of depression and other major psychiatric illnesses.…”
