Ensest, geleneksel olarak akrabalığı olan aile bireyleri arasındaki ilişki olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 2015-2019 yılları arasındaki 5 yıllık dönemde adli makamlar tarafından Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Adli Tıp Ana Bilim Dalı’ndan adli rapor istenilen ensest olgular çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Olgular yaş, cinsiyet, mağdur-sanığın eğitim ve iş durumu, ikamet edilen yer, mağdur sanık arasındaki ilişki, eylemin gerçekleştiği yer, hamilelik durumu, ilk başvuru süresi, eylemin aşaması açısından değerlendirilmiştir. 2015-2019 yılları arasında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Adli Ana Bilim Dalı’nca rapor düzenlenen 661 cinsel saldırı olgusunun 64’ünün ensest olduğu belirlenmiştir. Olguların 9’unun (% 14,1) erkek, 55’inin (% 85,9) kadın olduğu saptanmış olup mağdurların en küçüğünün 8, en büyüğünün 32 yaşında olduğu ve yaş ortalamalarının 15.4±5.1 olduğu belirlenmiştir. 17 mağdurun (% 26,6) ise 12 yaşını doldurmadığı belirlenmiştir. Sunulan çalışmada Adli Tıp Ana Bilim Dalımıza yansıyan ensest olgularının özelliklerinin literatürle uyumlu bulunmuştur. Ensest ile ilgili daha fazla makale sunulması gerektiği düşünülmüştür.

Sexual abuse means the sexual exploitation of an individual, who is described as a child in the international treaties and national legal texts, by adults. The present study aims to reach the profile of our region, Turkey, concerning child abuse through the features of the victims applying to the center to reveal the possible differences by comparing the studies in the literature, and to define the additional risk factors to the ones known.Methods: Our study was conducted in Trabzon Child Protection and Advocacy Center. The children who applied during a period of one and a half year, between January 2015 and June 2016, were included in this study. This study involved the retrospective evaluation of the records kept by the center.Results: In this study, 86 (83.5%) of children were girl, 17 (16.5%) of them were boy, and the girl/boy ratio was 0.19. Regarding the age groups, 19 (18.4%) of them were nine years old or younger; 37 (35.9%) of them were between 10 and 14 years old; 47 (45.6 %) of them were 15 years old and older. While the youngest age identified in our study was four, the oldest child age was 18. The average age was 13.11±3.817 years. Conclusion:The findings obtained in this study suggest that in child abuse, the victim hides the abuse for years due to fear, threat or believing not to be relied on and to be humiliated. Thus, victims who suffer from recurrent abuses for long years come out.

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable tool for measuring beliefs and attitudes regarding incest. Incest can be considered a widespread social problem. Despite the prevalence of incest, a tool that can measure knowledge of and attitudes toward incest in Turkey is still a necessity. In this study, 457 adults participated in the first and 255 adults in the second stage. To collect the data, Incest Scale, Childhood Emotional Incest Scale and demographic form were used. Exploratory/Confirmatory factor analysis, parallel analysis, reliability analysis were performed, and criterion validity was tested. A 23-item and 5-factor scale was obtained. The fit indexes obtained as a result of confirmatory factor analysis were satisfactory. Positive significant correlations were found between incest and childhood emotional incest. The reliability coefficients were found to be within acceptable limits. This study is expected to fill a significant gap in the field, promote awareness regarding incest, and make an important contribution to the field to combat incest effectively.
