Bridgers in the Third Space: An In-Country Investigation of the Leadership Practices of US-Educated Chinese Nationals

Abstract

started this Ph.D. journey. It is due to your upbringing that I value education, take pride in the fruits of my hard work, and do not get discouraged by unexpected challenges that life presents to me. To Jim, who has been the 'wind beneath my wings', I share this scholarly achievement with you. Throughout this journey and our incredible adventure in China, you have learned as much as I have about the Chinese culture, human behavior, and life in general. Thank you for your support, patience, and continued love. To my sons, Jeff and Neil, I dedicate this work to you. I hope this work inspires you to actively engage with the world and be bridgers between cultures and ages. I am excited to share this completed project with Anneli, because it is due to our common passion for international education and concern for the international students that I was inspired to take on this ambitious China project. I also want to share this accomplishment with my Leadership Studies family: Anat, Chris, Ed, Greg, Jillian, and Justin. It has been so much fun going on this 4-year journey with you.
