Breast cancer with intraabdominal metastases. Is surgery necessary?

Abstract: Metastatic breast cancer has a very poor prognosis, considering the lack of reliable curative medical or surgical approaches. Patients with stage IV breast cancer usually undergo palliative surgical procedures and symptomatic treatment.
