Abstract: In amyloid-beta (Abeta)-stimulated microglial cells, blockade of chloride intracellular ion channel 1 (CLIC1) reverts the increase in tumor necrosis factor-alpha and nitric oxide (NO) production and results in neuroprotection of cocultured neurons.
