Abstract:Block copolymer hydrogels are three‐dimensional polymeric networks that can absorb a considerable amount of water to maintain their semisolid morphology. Chemically cross‐linked hydrogels which can be prepared through disulfide bond formation, photopolymerization, or click chemistry, exhibit a nonreversible phase transition state. In contrast, physically cross‐linked hydrogels can be formed via self‐assembly of amphiphilic block copolymers, in response to environmental stimuli, including pH and/or temperature,… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
