We will investigate a system of M2-M5 branes as a black M2-M5 bound state. The behavior of this system will be investigated at short distances. At such scales, we will have to incorporate quantum gravitational corrections to the supergravity solutions. We will study the non-equilibrium quantum thermodynamics of this black M2-M5 bound state. The quantum work for this solution will be obtained using the Jarzynski equality. We will also study the corrections to the thermodynamic stability of this system from quantum gravitational corrections. We will use the concept of a novel quantum mass to analyze the quantum gravitational corrections to the information geometry of this system. This will be done using effective quantum metrics for this system.

We study conserved charges and thermodynamics of analytic rotating anti-de Sitter black holes with extended horizon topology-also known as black strings-in dynamical Chern-Simons modified gravity. The solution is supported by a scalar field with an axionic profile that depends linearly on the coordinate that spans the string. We compute conserved charges by making use of the renormalized boundary stress-energy tensor. Then, by adopting the Noether-Wald formalism, we compute the black string entropy and obtain its area law. Indeed, the reduced Euclidean Hamiltonian approach shows that these methods yield a consistent first law of thermodynamics.Additionally, we derive a Smarr formula using a radial conservation law associated to the scale invariance of the reduced action and obtain a Cardy formula for the black string. A first-order phase transition takes place at a critical temperature between the ground state and the black string, above which the black string is the thermodynamically favored configuration.

The de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley (dRGT) black string solution is a cylindrically symmetric and static solution of the Einstein field equation with graviton mass term. For the asymptotically de Sitter (dS) solution, it is possible to obtain the black string with two event horizons corresponding to two thermodynamic systems. The Rényi entropy is one of the entropic forms which is suitable to deal with nonextensive properties of the black string. In this work, we investigated the possibility to obtain a stable black string by using the Rényi entropy in both separated and effective approaches. We found that the nonextensivity provides the thermodynamically stable black string with moderate size in both approaches. The transition from the hot gas phase to the moderate-sized stable black string in the separated/effective description is a first-order/zeroth-order phase transition. The significant ways to distinguish the black string from both approaches are discussed.
