Biosynthetic regulation of proteoglycans by aldohexoses and ATP.

Abstract: Biosynthetic regulation of renal glomerular heparan sulfate-proteoglycans by various aldohexoses (mannose, glucose, and galactose) and laminin. Cellular ATP levels were dramatically reduced in all groups, and the maximal depletion was caused by mannose.
