Purpose This study aims to identify factors affecting Generation Z (Gen-Z)’s online learning (OL) behavioural intention (BI) using the extended technology acceptance model by investigating gender differences in the BI of Indian students to adopt OL.Design/methodology/approach The proposed model was tested on 284 students from a higher education institution (HEI) in Gujarat, India, using the partial least square–structural equation modelling. Further, the subgroup analysis was conducted using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) to determine male and female OL adoption variances.Findings Based on the research findings, all the constructs positively influence the BI of Gen-Z to adopt OL, except the influence of information technology infrastructure (INF) on perceived usefulness (PU). However, no substantial difference was observed in the BI adoption of OL amongst males and females. Also, when gender was kept as a moderator between computer self-efficacy (CSE) and PU, and INF and perceived ease of use (PEU), no substantial difference was observed in the OL of Gen-Z.Research limitations/implications The study will benefit HEIs and associated government departments from a deeper understanding of Gen-Z’s BI to speed up deployment and consider key elements essential while considering OL.Originality/value This article found major determinants of Gen-Z’s BI to adopt the OL in HEI. To the best of the author’s understanding, this is amongst the few studies to explore these ideas in the context of India. The uniqueness of the topic has been brought to light by the fact that “gender” has been employed as a moderator between attitude and BI, INF and PEU, and CSE and PU.

PurposeThe study is done to investigate the factors that affect the intention of higher education students towards online education. The research also focuses on the importance of students' stability and students' resilience on perceived usefulness and perceived easiness of use that frame the attitude towards the intention to use online education.Design/methodology/approachOnline survey method is employed using Google form link with a sample of 686 students of higher education. Excluding the outliers (univariate and multivariate), the final sample size (N = 679) considers the empirical results of the study. Partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) is applied to unearth the relationship in the proposed research model of the study.FindingsThe empirical results indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived easiness of use have a direct impact on students' intention to use online education platform. Moreover, perceived usefulness and perceived easiness of use also have a positive influence on the students' attitude, which has a strong influence on students' intention to use online mode of education system. Also, students' stability and students' resilience have mixed impact on the level of perceived usefulness and perceived easiness of use that are the most useful determinants of attitude towards the intention to use online education.Research limitations/implicationsThe study counts on the technology acceptance model (TAM) where constructs like behavioural controllability, past exposure and perceived accordance are not considered for measuring the intention of students in adapting to online education.Originality/valueThis paper employs the extended model of technology acceptance with additional determinants, namely, students' stability and students' resilience, to investigate the intention to use the online form of education as an alternative to the offline mode.

Relationship between creativity, adaptive selling, and sales performance: The moderating role of job satisfaction

Despite the sound number of research work on creativity, a few researchers have paid attention to the mediating role of job satisfaction between creativity, adaptive selling, and sales performance. The present study investigates the direct relationship between the salesperson’s creativity and adaptive selling on their performance. In addition, the study also examines the role of job satisfaction as a moderator between creativity and adaptive selling and between creativity and sales performance of Indian disserves companies. The study is conducted using a sample of 120 respondents including both salesperson and supervisor from diverse industries in India. Results reveal that there is a significant positive relationship between creativity, adaptive selling, and sales performance. Besides, it shows that job satisfaction moderates the relationship between creativity and sales performance, but there is no relationship between creativity and adaptive selling. The paper provides a valuable contribution to theory and practice and identifies potential areas for further investigation.
