“…The effect of Al 2 O 3 incorporation in the structure of Agmetaphosphate glasses appears similar to that of In 2 O 3 in Znphosphate glasses of composition (50 À x)ZnO-xIn 2 O 3 -50P 2 O 5 . 76 As shown by Koudelka et al 76 replacement of ZnO by In 2 O 3 leads to the progressive depolymerization of metaphosphate chains due to the increase in the O/P ratio. Besides the same effect of Al 2 O 3 , one could not exclude here the possibility of some additional phosphate modication by reactions similar to reaction (3) which may lead to some losses of iodine by conversion of AgI to Ag 2 O and HI.…”

“…The gradual conversion of BO3 units into BO4 units rose sharply after 2mole% of In2O3 concentration in the glass matrix. Hence In2O3mole % is affecting the glass structure and with its increasing percentage it is behaving as glass modifier oxide [46]. Metal oxide SrO acts as a good stabilizer as well as a glass network modifier of borate glasses [47].…”
