Abstract: The paper presents the results of model tests concerning the bearing capacity of a strip foundation resting on stratified subsoil. The foundation was loaded with vertical and inclined forces, acting axially and eccentrically. The subsoil assumed for the testing consisted of a strong layer overlying a weak one.
