Abstract: RECENT ADVANCES IN CHEMISTRY OF AMINO SUGARS: OCCURRENCE, BIOSYNTHESIS, SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION. Amino sugars are chemical compounds that have a sugar backbone, in which one of the hydroxyl groups is replaced by an amino group.
