Objective: to identify the prevalence of trauma in elderly people and how they accessed the health system through pre-hospital care. Method: documentary and retrospective study at a mobile emergency care service, using a sample of 400 elderly trauma victims selected through systematic random sampling. A form validated by experts was used to collect the data. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied. The chi-square test was used to analyze the association between the variables. Results: Trauma was predominant among women (52.25%) and in the age range between 60 and 69 years (38.25%), average age 74.19 years (standard deviation±10.25). Among the mechanisms, falls (56.75%) and traffic accidents (31.25%) stood out, showing a significant relation with the pre-hospital care services (p<0.001). Circulation, airway opening, cervical control and immobilization actions were the most frequent and Basic Life Support Services (87.8%) were the most used, with trauma referral hospitals as the main destination (56.7%). Conclusion: trauma prevailed among women, victims of falls, who received pre-hospital care through basic life support services and actions and were transported to the trauma referral hospital. It is important to reorganize pre-hospital care, avoiding overcrowded hospitals and delivering better care to elderly trauma victims.

Two knowledge tests, with 30 questions each, were applied to students from 3 rd to 12 th period, randomly selecting five students per period, with 50 students in the TL group and 50 in NTL. The questionnaire topics were: pre-hospital care, the mnemonic ABCDE trauma sequence, advanced trauma and imaging. The students' performances were evaluated by graduationperiod group: basic (3 rd -5 th period), intermediary/clinical (6 th -8 th ) and internship (9 th -12 th ). Results: Results: Results: Results: Results: in the first test the average accuracy of the TL group was 20.64 ± 3.17, while for the NTL group, it was 14.76 ± 5.28 (p<0.005). In the second test the average accuracy for the TL group was 21.52 ± 3.64, while for the NTL group, the average was 15.36 ± 29.5 (p<0.005). When divided into graduation periods, it was observed that the TL group showed a higher average across all three groups (p<0.05) in both tests. In all periods of undergraduate academic training, the TL group had greater knowledge of the subject than the NTL group.

Objetivo: traçar o perfil dos indivíduos que receberam atendimento pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) vítimas de traumatismo crânio encefálico (TCE), no município de Anápolis-GO. Métodos: Este estudo foi do tipo descritivo, documental e retrospectivo. Este estudo foi pautado na abordagem quantitativa de 63 fichas de atendimento de usuários do serviço com traumatismo crânioencefálico no período de janeiro a dezembro de 2014. Os dados colhidos das fichas dos usuários foram tabulados em planilhas do programa Microsoft Excel. A partir do banco de dados foi realizada a estatística descritiva com frequência absoluta e relativa. Resultados: Dos 63 atendimentos realizados pelo SAMU com diagnóstico de TCE 80,9% eram do sexo masculino e 19,1% do sexo feminino. A faixa etária prevaleceu no intervalo entre 21 a 40 anos (31,7%) e quanto à classificação de risco de TCE foi observado que 41,3% dos indivíduos estavam com risco moderado causado por perfuração por arma de fogo (20,6%) seguido de queda ao mesmo nível; e em relação à evolução clínica dos usuários 19% dos casos foram a óbito por TCE. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que no estudo o sexo masculino com faixa etária entre 21 a 40 anos com risco moderado de TCE causado por perfuração por arma de fogo e queda ao mesmo nível compõe grupo de risco. Os perfis de atendimentos realizados pelo SAMU as vítimas de TCE são muito importantes para que haja uma melhoria no atendimento pré e intra-hospitalar e em campanhas educativas mais eficientes para a população.
