Asymmetric feeding active leaky-wave antenna arrays

Abstract: The active leaky‐wave antenna arrays have been demonstrated, which integrate several microstrip leaky‐wave antenna elements with a single HEMT oscillator as an active source at 10.2 GHz. To excite the first higher order mode, the leaky‐wave antenna is fed asymmetrically. The reflected wave due to the open end of each leaky‐wave antenna element has been suppressed by the symmetric configuration of this antenna array. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
