Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. With SPECT/CT significantly fewer patients had a local relapse than with planar imaging alone, which prolonged 4-year disease-free survival (17).
