“…This SNP, located in the 3′‐flanking region of the human CLOCK gene, was initially shown to be associated with delayed sleep timing (Mishima et al, 2005). Kissling et al (2008) were the first to report an association between 3111 T/C and ADHD symptoms, a finding later replicated in a combined Taiwanese and UK sample (Xu et al, 2010), in a sample of healthy male adults after assessing for ADHD‐related features (Jeong et al, 2014) and in a sample of Mexican adolescents (Cabrera Lagunes et al, 2022). Furthermore, a CLOCK haplotype, G‐A‐T‐G‐G‐C‐G‐A (rs534654, rs1801260, rs6855837, rs34897046, rs11931061, rs3817444, rs4864548 and rs726967), was associated with increased ADHD risk (Carpena et al, 2019); however, none of these SNPs were significant when analysed separately.…”
