Abstract: O câncer de próstata se tornou um problema de Saúde Pública, sendo a neoplasia maligna de maior incidência nos homens brasileiros. São estimados, para os anos de 2014 e 2015, 302.350 casos de neoplasias no sexo masculino, sendo que 68.800 (22,8%) serão por câncer de próstata. O Estado do Espírito Santo encontra-se entre os 7 Estados brasileiros com maior incidência, com estimativa de 1.580 casos de câncer de próstata por ano, refletindo uma taxa de incidência de 88,72/100.000 habitantes.
